SICK aGaiN......

又生病了。。。

Down with flu again....... Damn. Hate it when I fall sick!! =(

Maybe I've eaten too much.... Seriously suspects there must be some link between the both. But mum was laughing her head off when I told her about it. Am I silly or what? (~_~lll

By the way, the most disgusting thing happened today!!! Please do not read on, if you have not taken your dinner...

I was having zero appetite for solid food, so mum made some soup for me. Guess what... I've only taken a little more than a spoonful of it when... my mucus dripped into the soup!!!!

There goes my dinner, bloody hell.

U LoOk liKe wHaT u DiD

I have a weird and almost animated way of judging a person's looks by the deeds he do.

I'm sure most of you do.

Everyone looks pretty when I first get to know them. But their looks always seem to change over time in my eyes. Some remain the same, some get prettier... But there are also those that get uglier and uglier as I get to know them and the detesting stuff they do. It sometimes get to the point that I cant even bear to look at their repulsive faces anymore.

My ex-ex-ex boss was a great example. As we got tortured under her over the years, she simply uglifies before our eyes. Despite the countless times she stood in front of the mirror in self-admiration of her "glory", and terrorizes us into agreeing how beautiful she thinks she looks, she just looks increasingly revolting to us as our days with the company end. Every single time that I was forced to look at her, my whole face simply twitches with disgust.

Ok, I might consider being a wee bit sorry for sounding so frank.... and if you insist, crude too. But, in case you are interested to know, she is still the hot topic in every of my ex-ex-ex-colleagues gatherings.

In another case, UNCLE also seems to look quite different from my initial impression of him too, after a good long year of getting along.

When I first got to know him, he looked like this to me...

Sweet, cuddly... And oh those big pearly eyes would melt even Shrek's heart!!!

I'm not sure what happened... But after a year, he turns out like this.... =P

Quite remarkable huh. Breathes fire too.

.......... Ok, I'm glad he doesn't read my blog. Wahahahaaa!!!

不划算的食量

最近的食欲大增

每天都大吃大喝特爱吃热量高的甜食

食量已经到了 “惊人” 的境界

家人都纷纷发出了“黄卡”说。。。 “别再吃了！吓死人了！”

可是体重好像一直在下降。。。

也好像有听到别人说我好像变瘦了

有吗？？哪里瘦了？？

我一点都看不出来哦。。。

量量体重。。。发现自己在一个多月内减去了之前增的 4 kg

还多减了 1 kg

哇。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。

难道我睡太多了吗？？？

妈妈姐姐说。。。应该是肚子长虫了。

Off tO IKOI wiTh BeSTiE!!!!

Went IKOI @ Mirama Hotel with my bestie today!!! She treated me to an evening of buffet dinner and post-dinner drinks... THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Had wanted to dine at IKOI for the longest time, after hearing alot about its fresh Sashimi and having read so many fantastic food reviews about it! But it is always difficult to get a seat there =( Called the restaurant a couple of times to make reservations on previous occasions but it has always been full house. In fact, they will always recommend on making super advance reservations -- as early as a month beforehand -- to get a seat.

I don't exactly have the habit of planning my schedule a month ahead, so I had never have the chance to dine there till today... Which was a little surprising when we actually managed to get a table, since this was kinda a last minute arrangement.

Typical of local Kiasu-ism, I was starving the whole day before dinner, so I was literally wolfing down everything in sight the moment I was seated! Bestie commented that I look like I was going to choke myself eating at that speed. Unfortunately, that was mistake number one made.... The rule of buffets says, never ever wolf down your food!! You will tend to miss out variety over quantity.

We didn't get to try everything on the menu, not even 30% of it! Well... We can't expect too much from two ladies stomachs anyway. But most of what we ate were pretty good. The sashimi was fresh, I particularly like the teapot soup and crunchy stick salad, and Bestie was raving over over the Ebi Tempuras with repeated orders for it over and over again!!

The restaurant was quite small and pretty cramped. It was really packed even on a weekday evening!

We can see how much Bestie enjoys her Edamame!! Urber CUTE chewing on that collagen-packed little green!

Very appetizing complimentary Teapot Soup!!! I like!!! =)

I was getting very very FULL.... Filled my stomach to the brim!!

Xian helped us buy similar Burberry Blue Label wallets from Japan!!!

Bestie needs to "show off" our new wallets. Keke... =P

School had started this week.....

And reference books are so goddamn EXPENSIVE!!!! (~_~lll

I've only bought two reference books for this semester and its a freaking 100-bucks gone already!!! And there's more to buy!! I'm not even sure if they are of any good.

Bought quite a number of reference books over the last 3 semesters but seriously I don't even remember properly utilizing any of them. And for some of these books, I have not even bothered to flip through them at all... Not even once!! They were just chucked away and forgotten in a corner since the day I lugged them home, until eventually I start clearing my study area when the semester ends and re-discover them ...

Oh well, that probably explains my grades.... =(

Now I do feel so sorry for my money. Argh.

I seriously heard "Sickness".................. When he meant "Thickness"

Professor B
I keep hearing many many "Yam"................. Actually, he meant many many "n"

But no one can beat that Taiwanese Professor who took us for a module last semester!!! My poor dearie had been jotting down "SERVICE" in her notes for a few weeks.... It was only till later when she compared notes with me, did she realised that the Professor had meant to say "SURFACE".

That's not all... In his own words :

............Well, you can go on and imagine. In just 18 months in this course, my whole perception of spoken English has changed. Language is really a guessing game. (~_~lll

ShOppinG RaVEs & HaNdiCRaFts.....

Went SHOPPING over the last two days! Bought quite alot of stuff!! Happy =) There's almost nothing in the world that gives me more ecstasy than shopping! Hmm, maybe except eating yummy food?? Keke.

Went Raffles Place, Chinatown and VIVO!!! Dead beat from all the walking lah...... (~_~lll

Bear with me... I NEED TO rave about my shopping trophies now!!! So proud of them!!!! Hehe.
(Ok, to avoid flooding my blog with what would seems to you as a damn boring shopping entry, I shall only blog about part of my "joy"... See, I'm considerate!)

Chinatown is really a Shopping Heaven manz!!! I scored most of my "trophies" there!!! If you only try spending some time to dig through the racks (which you should, cos that's what shopping is all about in the first place!), you are bound to find cheap bargains!!!

Well, I've got a kawaii dress from Chinatown, which only cost $9.90!!!! That's like dirt cheap loh!

Got two long baggy shirts from the same shop as well, at $23.90 each!! Here's one of them =)

I remember buying a similar shirt from Far East Shopping Centre last month at around $35.00, and I already thought I had a bargain back then =(...

This shop apparently has its own factory that supplies to those shops in town, which is why it can afford to sell at a cheaper price... I cant imagine how much more it would have cost to buy the same thing from Far East.

Got a pencil case @ $2.50, and a couple of embroidered pouches @ only $2.00 each!!

Wah liao..... Why so cheap?!!!

Keke, I'm sounding like aunties already!!! Perhaps before you know it, very soon I might be blogging about cheap bargains of meat and vegetables I got from the local wet markets! *Cold SHIVERs from the thought*

Oh, I managed to get some bargains from VIVO as well!!!

There was this accessories shop having a sale of 50%-Off-Selected-Items! Had wanted to get a gold gold bling bling necklace for the longest time!!! But the prices of those sold in town always make me pale in the face... Call me "cheapskate"... but I simply can't understand how can something so simple sell for like $30-40, when its mass produced and its not even like real gold!

Anyway, I decided to just buy a pair of earrings, get some chains and convert them to necklaces. Haha!

This pair only cost me $6.50 after the 50% discount! Not like drop-jaw-cheap kinda cheap, but considering what I was going to do with them, yah its cheap enough =)

This is what I did with the first earring. Maintained the design and added a meter long gold chain to it.

The length of the chain is actually adjustable, because I really couldn't decide how long i want the necklace to be. The dangling chain in the middle is what would be hanging down my back on wearing it. I didn't have the clasp, so I twisted & bent my own from what was suppose to have been the piece of thin wire that we normally wore through our ear hole... (Sorry, I really don't know the proper name for it)

Here's what I did with the second earring! Same thing on the chain used.

It may not look fantastic or anything, but I really LOVE this!!!

It's the effort I guess.

I took apart most of the earring and put it back together again with more charms and beads. Friends, you all should know what huge hands I have (bigger than all girls I know, and some guys' too), it really ain't easy coordinating my clumsy fingers on something that tiny! Cut my finger in the process =( I also had to work with whatever limited pieces of charms & beads that I have (didn't want to waste $$$ buying more and then storing the excess in tiny pill boxes for years).

One thing I learnt about myself over and over again!!! A shopaholic like me never counts the amount she spends shopping, but counts the savings she made from her buys!!!

A WeDDinG, a ReUniOn, and ExtRa RanTs.....

Just got back home from my primary school classmate's wedding!!!

Oh my gosh.... Primary school!!! Like how many decades ago was that???

Anyway it was a really sweet affair, with loads of fun and crap from the reunion at my table!!! I met up with the very first friend I made from primary school too! :O) Really really happy & grateful to have been invited!!! Thanks so much, YongZhen!! It was a wonderful night =)

I have yet to get all the pictures, so I shall blog about it later, when I do. But I just showed Empress a couple of pics just now and she commented that both the bride and her groom are good-looking!! So pictures soon....

Anyway, I have not blogged for a quite a couple of days, because I really haven't been doing much at all in the last few days...

Lets see... The most exciting thing that I have done would be... Wiping up my Gucci bag?

Well, I did also watch like a dozen of clips on Dinosaurs, on Youtube as well... And the rest of the time, I spent binge-ing on food and hugging my pillow to sleep.

Oh, just before today's wedding dinner, I hopped over to my batchgirl's place. Finally someone gave me a reason to get dressed, paint my face and walk out of that door... She just had surgery to correct a damaged nerve and is now recovering at home. Job hazards and a F-up company... I really have got so much to rant about! Just feel so angry and heartache for her condition!!

I just want to say, Aircrews are NOT souless Robots!!! In case nobody have noticed, they are only human too! =( Grrr.....!

Before I end today's entry, here's a picture with my Bestie! The Empress, the Kimchi-Samsoonie... or whatever you call her. Hehe.

Oh by the way, have I ever mentioned that both of us have the same surname? My surname is quite uncommon in local grounds, so she is like the only other person besides my family that I know with the same surname. Perhaps that's what bonded us like sisters! :O)
