Off tO IKOI wiTh BeSTiE!!!!

Went IKOI @ Mirama Hotel with my bestie today!!! She treated me to an evening of buffet dinner and post-dinner drinks... THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Had wanted to dine at IKOI for the longest time, after hearing alot about its fresh Sashimi and having read so many fantastic food reviews about it! But it is always difficult to get a seat there =( Called the restaurant a couple of times to make reservations on previous occasions but it has always been full house. In fact, they will always recommend on making super advance reservations -- as early as a month beforehand -- to get a seat.

I don't exactly have the habit of planning my schedule a month ahead, so I had never have the chance to dine there till today... Which was a little surprising when we actually managed to get a table, since this was kinda a last minute arrangement.

Typical of local Kiasu-ism, I was starving the whole day before dinner, so I was literally wolfing down everything in sight the moment I was seated! Bestie commented that I look like I was going to choke myself eating at that speed. Unfortunately, that was mistake number one made.... The rule of buffets says, never ever wolf down your food!! You will tend to miss out variety over quantity.

We didn't get to try everything on the menu, not even 30% of it! Well... We can't expect too much from two ladies stomachs anyway. But most of what we ate were pretty good. The sashimi was fresh, I particularly like the teapot soup and crunchy stick salad, and Bestie was raving over over the Ebi Tempuras with repeated orders for it over and over again!!
